Psychotherapy

I offer individual therapy for adults working on a variety of life issues including: Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Life Transitions, Self-Esteem,  Attachment and Relationship Issues. Therapy can be an opportunity to find balance by getting in touch with who you are and providing direction for where you want to go. 

EMDR Therapy

I am an EDMR certified therapist. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma and can help relieve many types of psychological stress. I have seen the most beautiful transformations and remarkable shifts in mindset through this work. It is a true honor to hold space for my clients as they share their stories and witness the change as they emerge stronger more confident versions of themselves. 

Perinatal Wellness and Birth Trauma

I have specialized advanced training with Postpartum Support International. I work with mom's during pregnancy and postpartum. With my EMDR background, I also focus on birth trauma. I have experience helping new moms work through their birthing experiences as well as helping expecting moms prepare for a subsequent birth after a traumatic birth. 

My Approach

I conceptualize many presenting issues through the EMDR lens but also tend to incorporate a solution focused approach and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness in my work.

As a therapist, I take a person centered approach, meeting my client where they are ready to start. I recognize that it takes a lot of courage to make a change, look within, or ask for help so I believe therapy should be a collaboration between client and clinician. I may have skills to offer and insights to share, but you are the expert on your life and what you need out of therapy. I welcome feedback from clients, allowing you to make this experience your own. I feel it's important for my clients to set the pace for their therapy. Though I may gently challenge you at times, I will never take you anywhere you aren't ready to go.

I strive to provide an environment that feels safe and comfortable for our work together. I want you to feel like you can be yourself and free from judgment or stigma that may exist outside the therapy room. I believe all people have an inherent capacity to grow and heal, with support and guidance you can reach your potential.
